<title>Viggo Book Signing at Track 16 Gallery in Santa Monica:01/14/06</title>
<description>Just wanted to post a few pix here for the enjoyment of fellow Viggo admirers. I had a nice time meeting some great people - Connie G of Florida, Norma of LA and Anneke of the Bay Area - and of course the ever gracious Viggo himself. Others have given detailed accounts of what transpired at the book reading so I will just contribute a few pix. I am happy however that Viggo has visited my corner of the world - Malaysia - and that he would be happy to visit our shores again :D .

I see now what others have said about how kind he is, and the lengths he went to to make people feel welcome at his appearances..he drove by in his truck and personally dropped off boxes of drinks, etc, then parked and went into the gallery through the rear entrance. As usual, at the signing table he was surrounded by chocolates which he offered to each and every one of us who went to see him. That is just Viggo apprently :-&#x3E; .

OK, here are the photos - enjoy! (I was too nervous to take good photos but hope these will do !)

Update: Thanks Dawn for the comment - I did not think to do that, and have removed the photo from view.

<title>Faces</title>
<description>Turn your face to the sun and the shadows fall behind you (Maori Proverb)

A face that never laughs betrays an evil heart (Basque Proverb)

The loveliest faces are to be seen by moonlight, when one sees half with the eye and half with the fancy.

You cannot strike a face that is smiling (Korean Proverb)

<title>Angles and Shadows</title>
<description>I LOOOOVE to travel. Not so much the getting there (unless I travel business, which is rare but happens when it&#x27;s work) part as the hey, I am here in one piece part :-) . Some places you can have a clear idea of what to expect, having seen it so many times on TV, in magazines, etc. And some places just totally blow you away with the sheer awesomeness of it all ...hmm, wonder if there is such a word as &#x27;awesomeness&#x27;, ha!

China gave me myriad impressions and experiences...Beijing was huge, I knew Tiananmen Square would be huge but I was still amazed at how big it was. Maybe it was the nearby red walls of the Forbidden City that gave it the eerie feeling of being in a film or maybe it was the huge buildings around the Square, including the Great Peoples&#x27; Hall (I think that was what it was called). I was bummed that I didnt get to take pics of people flying kites one sunny winter morning when I was there, but my camera jammed at the most inopportune moment. Sigh. But I did get a few in the Forbidden City and along the wall near the main road. That&#x27;s one of my faves, hope u guys like it too.

I also managed to visit Lyon, France this year. Saw this lovely statue and thought what a great reflective moment it was, and it was right after we visited the roman theatre ruins and leaving the hill where the church was (Fourvi&#xE8;re, I think it&#x27;s called, apologies if I am wrong 0) ).

Dreamy sigh...wonder where I will go next....!

<title>My Animal Pix</title>
<description>I don&#x27;t travel as much now as I used to, but when I did I would try to take pictures of the animals I meet. Sometimes the encounters are less pleasant than I wish, though. For instance, I once stumbled upon a stack of cages, one on top of the other, an dthey contained a variety of scared animals - a cat, a snake, a civet cat and God knows what else. Sad to say, they were destined for the cooking pot. That was in Shenzhen, China. And I know that it happens all over the world, Sad isnt it. When I got home to Malaysia, I gave MY cats some extra long and extra hard hugs, thankful that they are with me. </description>
